Detailed look at job posting

I opted for a featured job post and also included company profile branding. The ordering process itself was straightforward on the website. I received a confirmation email quickly. It took about 24 hours for the featured post to go live, which was reasonable. The branding aspect definitely made our listing stand out. I had a quick question about integrating with our internal applicant tracking system, and customer support replied within a few hours with a helpful link. The quality of applicants was quite varied, but we did get some strong candidates from the batch. The 'guaranteed applications' promise seemed to hold true, we met the threshold. Delivery of applications was consistent to the dashboard. No issues with payment methods either, very standard.

Decent platform, some small issues

I purchased a premium job listing and an urgent hire badge. The job got good visibility and the applications came in fairly quickly. The candidate matching service helped filter some, which was a plus. My main gripe was with editing the live posting; it wasn't as intuitive as I hoped, took a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Overall, a useful service for finding talent, but they could streamline the editing process.

Good value for a basic post

I used JobsToday for a basic job posting for the first time. I was looking for something affordable and the free initial post for new businesses caught my eye. Got a few decent applications, definitely worth the price, which was nothing in my case. Felt like a solid starting point for getting some reach without spending a lot.

Reliable for bulk postings

I've used JobsToday a few times now, mainly for bulk job slots. This last purchase was for another set of roles, and like before, the process was smooth. The recruiter dashboard is pretty consistent and easy to navigate. I keep coming back because I know what to expect and the applicant quality is generally pretty good. No surprises, which is what I need.

Are there ever free job postings available, like a trial or for first-timers?

S Susan Williams 1 week ago
Yeah, they often have a deal for first-time employers, sometimes a free basic post or a credit towards a premium one. Keep an eye out for that when you sign up.

I got a free post when I first joined. They rotate deals, but free posts for new users is a common one.

Hey, wondering if anyone's had luck with their 'guaranteed applications' thing. Is it for real or just marketing fluff?

L Leah Wright 3 weeks ago
Yeah, I actually used it for a couple of roles last year. They do deliver on that, or at least they did for me. Got way more applications than I expected for a niche role.

It's legit. If you don't hit the number, they'll either extend the listing or give you credit. My experience was good, no complaints.

How does JobsToday stack up against Indeed or LinkedIn? I've mostly used those and curious if this one is worth trying.

J James Thompson 1 week ago
It's a bit different. I found it good for getting a high volume of applicants quickly, especially with the guaranteed apps. Indeed is bigger obviously, but sometimes you just get spammed. LinkedIn is more for networking/passive candidates.

I'd say it's more direct for getting applications. Not as much passive browsing like LinkedIn, but if you need bodies for an open role fast, it's pretty efficient. Indeed has a wider reach but also a lot of noise.

I'm in Austin, Texas. If I post a job, how long does it usually take for it to go live and start getting applications?

L Laura White 3 weeks ago
Once you post it, it's pretty much instant for going live. Applications can start rolling in within hours, sometimes minutes depending on the role and how many active job seekers are out there.

Live almost immediately. I posted one for a developer role from Philly and got applicants the same afternoon. Not sure if location makes a huge difference there.

If I buy a bulk package and then my hiring needs change, can I get a refund for unused job slots?

R Ryan White 4 weeks ago
Hmm, I haven't tried to refund unused slots. I'd imagine their policy is probably more about credit or extending the usage rather than cash back, but you'd have to check their terms directly.

I think once you buy a package, it's usually for credit or a set period. Not sure about cash refunds for unused slots. My assumption is it'd be credits for later use.

Planning to post a few jobs for my small business, any deals for new users or if I buy a few at once?

M Michelle Brown 1 month ago
Definitely check for bulk discounts. I think they usually have something like 10-25% off if you grab a package of listings. Also, new users sometimes get a free post or credit.

H Hannah J. 1 month ago
Yeah, they almost always have a new user freebie. And if you're doing a few, you're better off with a bulk slot package, saves a decent bit.

What kind of payment options do they accept? Just cards, or can I do PayPal or something?

E Elizabeth T. 4 weeks ago
Pretty sure it's standard credit cards. Visa, Mastercard, Amex. I don't recall seeing PayPal as an option when I paid last.

M Mary Rivera 4 weeks ago
Only used a credit card myself. Haven't seen other options like PayPal or anything like that. Just the usual card info at checkout.

Does JobsToday do anything special for non-profits? Like discounts or anything?

A Anthony A. 3 weeks ago
I haven't personally seen specific non-profit discounts advertised, but it's worth reaching out to their support. Sometimes companies have unlisted programs.

P Patricia Robinson 2 weeks ago
Not sure about non-profits specifically, but they do have various discounts throughout the year. You could always ask their sales team if they offer anything. Never hurts to check!
